The Names Of God - Part 2

The Bible uses more than one name to describe who God is. Throughout the Old and New Testaments, many names and descriptive titles are used to tell us what He is like and what He does. These four studies take four names, and look at who He has proved Himself to be throughout history, and how those attributes relate to our own relationship with Him.

Signposts To Jesus

These four evenings in August aim to share the gospel using four of the Signs in John’s Gospel. Each sign points to who Jesus is, and what He can do in our lives.

Studies In Jonah

Jonah’s story shows us a man who knows what the ways of God are like, but who doesn't himself like God's ways. The Lord teaches the recalcitrant prophet through his descent into the deep and rising again that nothing will stop the Word of God reaching the objects of His grace. The Lord Jesus explained Jonah was a sign to a generation that knew God's ways and blessing, but didn't want to share with a needy world. Do we treasure what we have been given and so obey God's call on our lives? Or, do we cling to vain idols and forfeit the grace that could be ours?

A Study In Galatians: 'No Other Gospel'

In Galatians Paul writes to the church to encourage them to return to the basic principles of faith in Christ from having been misled by false teachers. This series asserts the authenticity and uniqueness of God͛'s good news of justification by faith alone, and explores how our freedom in Christ should impact us to live faithful lives of love in service to God and one another.
